Is it okay to put a necklace on my infant?
I have a 6 month old baby girl. I am going to take her to get her ears pierced. My mother gave me a beautiful gold necklace for her. It is a thin chain w. a small pendent. I am wondering, is it safe to put that on her neck. I see a lot of other babies with beautiful chains and necklaces on their necks. It looks so pretty. Is it a good idea?
I agree that it is not safe...Not only could she choke on it if it came off and she put it in her mouth, but it could get tangled around her neck and cause her airways to be cut off. She will have plenty of time when she's older to wear pretty jewelry.
